Designed as an all-mountain high-top shoe the Nanuq GTX addresses mountain bike riders who go by the philosophy that “there’s no bad weather, only bad clothing”, and wish to tackle snow-covered technical trails or just take their bike for an afternoon spin in the cold. With its fleece-lining and the GORE-TEX membrane the Nanuq GTX is keeping their feet warm and dry on every mission.
When riding in the colder times of the year, staying warm and dry is crucial. This is especially important for your feet which can become hypothermic really quick – and, as warm feet are fast feet, this will not only affect your health but also your performance. Due to its waterproof but breathable GORE-TEX Koala membrane and its cozy insulated fleece liner and insole the Nanuq GTX truly lives up to its name, which means polar bear in the language of the Inuit.
The shoe’s resilient upper exterior offers protection from the elements with a layered, hardwearing ripstop woven fabric that resists abrasion and tearing. The BOA® L6 Performance Fit System ensures a perfect fit around the ankle, while the high-top fleece socks adds additional warmth and protection.
The fizik Nanuq GTX is available for clip-in as well as for flat pedals. Both versions employ X2 outsole with the Vibram XS Trek EVO technology for excellent grip and traction on and off the bike.
