Turning ideas creative, with passion and good people into real, tangible stuff – Explore the unexpected, that’s what I stand for. My first camera at 16, bike racing and small adventures on many trips, were the basis for my curiosity about people, their stories and cultures. After professional training as a photographer, Uli Stanciu gave me the chance to experience the whole world of mountain biking up close becoming an editor at Bike Magazine. In those days, the magazines still had over 300 pages! As a founding member of Mountainbike Magazine, this exciting journey continued. Like a start-up, starting from scratch with the idea and a lot of passion, putting together a team, trying new solutions, I learned a lot and am grateful for this opportunity.
This was followed by eight super creative years at Rockshox as Global PR Manager and Europe Marketing Manager. With the team RockShox Explorer built around the first downhill world champion Greg Herbold and company founder Paul Turner, we developed the first MTB content with friends around the globe, with slides and print. We also took the opportunity to rethink product launches and press events. Legendary were the Lake Garda Launches for which we took over the whole Hotel Venezia with partners and athletes. It continued with ten intense years as European Marketing & Communications Manager at SRAM. Every year integrating a new brand, building a new category, launching products. Constantly growing Eurobike booths, distributor meetings, Olympic games, Tour de France, with many great people, it never got boring.
In the last ten years I worked internationally as an independent consultant in the field of brand and people development. Parallel to my work I constantly develop my experience through many trainings as a business coach, trainer, mental coach and added agile processes like Design Thinking and Scrum. I always take time to learn something new.
With my wife, our two kids and two cats I live outside of Munich. In my garage are many bikes and snowboards. Red wine, coffee and barbecue are always ready for spontaneous friend’s visits.
Family, bike, reading, learning new things.
